WHAT IS THERAPY LIKE?Therapy is your time to talk about thoughts and feelings to a trusted individual who will not judge or criticize you. If needed, we will go over past and present issues. I will help you to see how changing the way you think will effect how you feel about yourself and others. I will not only listen to you, I will provide you deeper insight into your thoughts and emotions. You will be given the tools to create a more calm and clear approach to life.HOW LONG WILL THERAPY TAKE?Therapy lasts for as long as you feel that it is benefiting you. It is a very unique and individual process. Ultimately, the decision is always yours. Ideally we would explore thoughts and feelings about ending together. Sometimes, clients feel impulses to stop when difficult themes or emotions arise. An experienced therapist can help you to explore the motivation to stop and work through the decision with the understanding that you can come back at any time.DO YOU OFFER TELETHERAPY?In addition to face to face sessions, I also offer video and phone appointments. The platform I use for teletherapy sessions is both HIPPA compliant and very easy to use.WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?My fee is $200.00 per individual session and $225.00 per couples session.DO YOU OFFER A SLIDING SCALE?I do hold available a number of sliding scale openings. If you need a reduced rate, we can discuss the possibility during the initial consultation.WILL MY INSURANCE COVER OUR SESSIONS? HOW DOES THAT WORK?I am an out-of-network behavioral health provider which means that you pay the full amount up front and are reimbursed by your insurance plan. Many plans provide this coverage. You will need to contact your insurance company to determine the percentage of coverage. I will provide all the necessary information required of the therapist for filing your claim.HOW OFTEN DO I PAY AND WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?Payment is to be made in full at the end of each session. Check, Venmo and PayPal are all accepted forms of payment.WHAT’S THE NEXT STEP IN GETTING STARTED?The next step is to either email or call me to set up a free 15 minute consultation or schedule an appointment.DO YOU HAVE EVENING OR WEEKEND AVAILABILITY?I try very hard to keep in mind the scheduling needs of my clients. My office hours include day and early evening times.Office hours do not include weekends.

WHAT IS A GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE?

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
